‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the office
Not a customer was stirring, their eCommerce was flawless
The emails were checked by the sales team with care
In hopes that new business would soon be declared
The engineers were nestled all snug in their chairs
While visions of APIs danced in the air
And Steve, Alex and others had made the decision
To combine two forces in a game changing acquisition

You read that right! If you missed the news from earlier this week, Insite has been acquired by Episerver! It really is the most wonderful time of the year. Before we dash into 2020, we have to take a moment to celebrate the things that got us where we are today. Here’s what we’ve been up to this year.

We Made Some Enhancements and Upgrades to our Products

To kickoff 2019, we announced in InsiteCommerce. Then, in June, we launched InsiteCommerce 4.5.0 which included enhanced functionality for email, list share, search, security and more.

Perhaps even more exciting, was the fall release of our Product Information Management solution, InsitePIM. InsitePIM was widely requested by our customers and was built with the business user in mind. Now InsiteCommerce customers have a complete, consistent product information management solution that is robust, yet still simple to configure and manage.

Cheers to our product team and engineers for building the greatest eCommerce products for manufacturers and distributors!

We Learned A LOT at Industry Events

We love events. Not just because we get to travel and share great stuff about Insite, but because we get to learn from the very companies we serve!

This year we hit up TUG Connects in Q1. Then in Q2 we made our way to the NAED National Meeting and B2B Online. We loved hearing from Jim Nerone from Buyers Products as he joined our own Co-Founder, Brian Strojny at a B2B Online keynote session about redefining personalization.

Event season (September-October at Insite) was no joke this year. Our team traveled all over the country to learn from leading manufacturers and distributors at Encounter, Connect, IDEA eBiz, and of course B2B Next.

Speaking of events, we hosted our second annual Engage user conference in October! This year’s user conference was bigger and better than our inaugural year as we welcomed over 200 attendees from 88 different companies to Minneapolis for a week of learning and networking dedicated to eCommerce. You can checkout the highlights from Engage here.

We Shared New Stories of Customer Success

Everything we do, we do for our customers. We absolutely loved hearing and telling their stories this year. We are honored to walk alongside more than 150 manufacturers and distributors who are finding success with eCommerce. What they are doing in their companies makes everything we do here at Insite worth it. They are building legacies and shaping the future!

Amerhart is inspiring people and communities to achieve their own version of the American dream. They’ve made a complete paradigm shift in their business with eCommerce.

Cleaver-Brooks is standing out from the competition by putting their customers at the center of their universe. They’re marching toward a 10% increase in their parts business.

Jones Healthcare is transforming processes while honoring their 137-year-old legacy of trust. Lisa Li, Kelly-Ann Ethier and Jeffrey Runnalls are leading the charge in eCommerce. They hit year-one goals for registered accounts and online orders just one week after their national launch.

Source Atlantic has evolved to meet the changing needs of their customers while maintaining its long-term legacy of quality, service and innovation. Today they’ve more than doubled their monthly web traffic and are growing share of wallet.

We Earned Industry Validation

In 2018, Insite was proud to be named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: B2B Commerce Suites, Q3 2018. Building on the momentum from 2018, the industry continued to validate our work this year.

FeaturedCustomers named Insite an eCommerce Top Performer in their 2019 Summer Customer Success Report.

Andy Hoar validated Insite further in his all-new Paradigm B2B Combine report. Insite was awarded 8 medals in the report with exceptional honors in the “Ability to Execute” and “Customer Service and Support” categories.

We Formed New Strategic Alliances

2019 opened many doors for Insite and our partners. Earlier this year we named Verndale a Platinum Implementation partner. Our partnership with DDS enabled us to give mutual customers access to next-generation product content and data management in a single eCommerce solution.

One of our most exciting new partnerships was formed in October in congruence with our user conference. Our strategic partnership with AD is all about serving independent distributors into the future!

Insite’s CEO, Steve Shaffer said it best, “AD has an incredible history of helping independent distributors successfully compete at a national level with much larger brands. This makes AD a perfect partner for Insite. The alliance gives Insite the ability to deploy industry-leading, enriched content within our AD customer base, while in return offering a more integrated B2B eCommerce experience to AD members who need a robust eCommerce solution.”

And perhaps the most game-changing announcement of all, we joined the Episerver family. You can learn what that means for customers and partners here.

From the entire Insite team, we’d like to wish you peace and prosperity this holiday season and into the new year. Thank you to our gold and platinum partners, our customers, our board, the entire Insite team and our new Episerver family for making Insite the powerhouse B2B eCommerce company that it is.

We have a good feeling, the best is yet to come. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
