The holidays are here and we have one more thing to celebrate this season! We have some pretty big news to share. We’re excited to announce that Insite has been acquired by Episerver™, the customer-centric digital experience company. Now that the secret’s out, we’re excited to officially reintroduce ourselves as Insite Software, an Episerver company.
Episerver has some major momentum headed into 2020 as this announcement comes on the heels of the company’s appointment of Alex Atzberger as CEO, and the recent acquisition of content personalization and analytics company, Idio™.
At Insite, customers are at the heart of everything we do. For the last 15 years, we’ve been focused on building digital commerce solutions that solve the unique and complex challenges of our manufacturing and distribution customers. As Insite joins Episerver, our focus will remain on building customer-centric products that cater to the needs of B2B organizations.
Why Insite + Episerver?
The acquisition of Insite is a strategic move for Episerver. There are numerous benefits in terms of Episerver’s go-to-market strategy, product synergy, vertical expertise and company culture.
Episerver aims to expand their presence in North America and the acquisition of Insite is a big part of that strategy. After the acquisition, Episerver now employs over 200 people in North America (800+ worldwide) that know the market and are focused on delivering products and solutions that exceed customers’ expectations.
The synergy between Episerver and Insite’s products is certain. Episerver has a best-in-class digital experience offering, deep personalization ability, AI and machine learning functionality, depth of experience in B2C and B2B, CDP, marketing automation capabilities and more. Insite brings Episerver a best-in-class commerce core that nicely complements Episerver’s existing commerce tool, PIM, native mobile, portfolio, pre-built ERP connectors and a robust integration architecture.
Episerver has been a leading, global force powering more than 8,800 customers and more than 30,000 websites worldwide. Episerver recognized that there was a big opportunity to deliver greater value to the underserved, trillion dollar, B2B eCommerce market. That’s why Episerver turned to Insite, a leader in B2B eCommerce according to Forrester. Insite’s laser-focus on B2B means Episerver can focus on core verticals that are vital in maintaining continued growth. The depth and focus Insite has on manufacturing and distribution is a key component of developing a robust vertical expertise.
Finally, both companies hire outstanding people who are highly competent, collaborative and passionate about customer success. There’s an emphasis on bending over backward to delight customers that permeates both organizations.
What does this acquisition mean for customers and partners?
From day one, Insite has put our customers first. Our mission has been to build solutions that help manufacturers and distributors bring their businesses into the future. We’ve built a culture that’s big enough to serve and small enough to care. Insite customers will now be able to quickly deploy Episerver products within their existing InsiteCommerce solution and benefit from economies of scale that come with being a larger organization. With Insite and Episerver, our customers will continue to see higher average order values, conversion rates and customer loyalty.
Episerver remains focused on bringing the best solutions possible to the B2B market. Insite brings the wealth of industry expertise and product development knowledge necessary to make manufacturers and distributors successful.
Many of our partners are well-versed in both Insite and Episerver platforms. For other partners, the acquisition will open new opportunities and expertise.
From the entire Insite team, we’d like to extend a thank you to everyone who has partnered with, supported and encouraged Insite during the last 15 years. We’re honored to join the Episerver family and can’t wait to see what the new decade holds.
