How Smart Order Packing Works

As items are packed into their shipping container, InsiteShip records the detail of what is being packed, including lot and serial number information for each item. Each container is given a unique ID as well as a unique label that details the contents of the container. Additionally, as items are being packed, they are validated against the order to assure that the correct items and quantities are being packed into the container.

With the InsiteShip smart order packing system, the contents of each shipment can be reviewed even after the order has left your building. The contents of each container can be reviewed directly from your Infor ERP customer order screen. Now when a customer tells you that box 2 of 3 was damaged or is missing, you will immediately know what was in that box so that you can quickly remedy your customer’s problem.
