Insite is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer who is a self-starter that enjoys manual and automated testing in a fast-paced tech environment.

Develop accurate and consistent documentation including test plans and test cases and participate in the all phases of test cycle including functional, integration, regression and acceptance testing.
Identify and report defects, tracking and re-testing through closure and release.
Communicate test results and status to all members of the project team.
Follow and continuously improve the QA processes and methodologies.
Test multiple version of client software on multiple browsers, operating systems and mobile devices. 
Interact with key stakeholders from both technical and business teams to understand product requirements.
Coordinate daily QA testing activities.
Work closely with developers to support and enhance automation tests.
Participate in Agile – Scrum activities.
Work independently and think critically without significant manager supervision. 
Bachelor's degree preferred, with a specialization in Computer Science, MIS or Engineering
3+ years in quality assurance or software development
1+ year of experience testing native mobile applications
Experience working on a team that uses iterative software development methodologies
Experience working in a fast-moving environment and provide good estimations as well as keeping up with writing test plans and test cases
Advocate for good process and help to create and write the best practices
Amazing problem solver with strong written and verbal communication skills to both technical and business team members
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills as well as strong organization capabilities
Qualities for Success:

• You are a self-starter and great team player
• Experience working with offshore teams
• Experience with B2B and B2C e-commerce
• Experience in a SaaS continuous delivery environment
• Experience with test automation using Selenium with an object oriented languages (C#, Java, Ruby). We don’t use WinRunner or QTP.
• Experience automating tests for iOS and/or Android using Xamarin
• Experience with source control like Git, SVN, Mercurial

Location: Prefer applicants to be within the Minneapolis-St. Paul five state metro area.

• Responsible for identifying and prioritizing requirements, features and functions of the software.
• Make recommendations on product structure, technology, features, and play an active role in the continuous improvement of all products that Insite produces.
• Create detailed design documents to meet feature requirements including schema, approach, notes, and budgets such that another programmer would be able to perform the development and a test plan could be written.
• Provide quality and code standards and methodology, naming conventions, and database design for the code and technical structure for the products and projects assigned.
• Other tasks and functions as may be assigned by management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or similar field
• 4-6 years of experience with software development in C# and ASP.Net
• 3+ years of MVC
• Mobile application experience, Xamarin strongly preferred
• 5+ years of JavaScript / JQuery / AngularJS
• 2+ years of ecommerce development
• Previous experience with nUnit, Unity and Entity Framework
• Knowledge of ERP integrations a plus

• Strong software development skills in a Microsoft Stack environment preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to learn quickly and manage themselves independently
